KIRON ROBINSON has exhibited extensively in Australia and internationally with recent projects including exhibitions at Museum of Contemporary Art (MoCA), Taipei; POSCO Museum of Art, Seoul, South Korea and Kurumuya Museum, Japan. He has recently completed major public commissions for Bargoonga Nganjin North Fitzroy Library (2017) and the Melbourne Biennial Lab (2016). Recent solo exhibitions include: Pearls, Schoolhouse Studio, Melbourne (2018); Yours internally (with Grant Stevens), Margaret Lawrence Gallery, Melbourne (2018); We told ourselves we needed separate beds to sleep, Centre for Contemporary Photography, Melbourne (2015); 'hello. you've made it.', Sarah Scout Presents (2015); 'I don't know, really I don't', Monash University Faculty Gallery, Caulfield (2013); Encounter with the Uncanny, Gippsland Regional Art Gallery, Sale (2011) and On Photography and Death, Conical, Melbourne (2009).

 

Robinson has curated numerous exhibitions and projects around Melbourne including Looking but not seeing, Benalla Art Gallery, Benalla (2018); "Is/Is not", West Space, Melbourne (2016); Big East, various lcoations, Melbourne (2013); Hevy, Conical, Melbourne (2011); and Polar, Margaret Lawrence Gallery, Melbourne (2007).

 

Robinson was the Inbound Resident at Apexart in New York in 2012 and completed a PhD at Monash University in 2014. He is currently Head of the Photography Department at the Victorian College of the Arts, University of Melbourne.
